OPENPichia strains
Everyone*, be it in academia or in industry is welcome to use OPENPichia. VIB distributes OPENPichia and derivative strains for both academic and industrial use, enabled by an NCYC distribution license.
The cost is a one-time fee of €1500 (academic) or €4000 (industry) for the OPENPichia chassis strain or any of its derivatives in the VIB resource. This fee compensates for waiving of the annual distribution and/or commercial license by the NCYC culture collection; £1000 per distributed strain will be transferred back to NCYC. The one-time fee is used to cover our lab expenses for continued maintenance, development and expansion of the resource and administration. OPENPichia MoClo kit
The OPENPichia MoClo kit is distributed via our national plasmid collection BCCM/GeneCorner. The kit can be ordered in its entirety or as individual parts.
Prices are available on the BCCM website and differ depending on non-profit or for-profit use.
Distribution of the kit is bound by an MTA, enabling use both in academic and industrial settings.
